Los Angeles Metro
Fareless System Initiative Brochure Design
In a city designed around the automobile, characterized by gridlock and car culture, the people who take public transit are the people often forgotten about. The low-income, the marginalized communities, the climate-conscious, the POC, the children. The majority of these individuals face increasing transportation insecurity and the ability to afford public transit.
We were tasked to create a brochure that drove awareness to the Fareless System Initiative, a program advocating for free rides to marginalized communities. Through the design, we aimed to raise the voices and highlight the stories, lives, and vignettes of people who rely on the LA Metro. Bringing forward the people often looked over and forgotten about.
